A warm welcome to all to join with a wide variety of friends to worship, pray, share fellowship and discuss prayer and spirituality in a wide range of thematic workshops.

SELECTIONS OF FEEDBACK FROM FESTIVAL OF PRAYER 2022

I thought there was a good mix of workshops and worship, and the venue was great, including the lunch! Debbie
It was wonderful to have the Festival of Prayer back after its enforced Covid pandemic break. The first workshop I attended was " Praying with the Icon of the Annunciation" with Adrian Hart an accomplished artist & painter of icons. His talk was packed with details of what we should look for in an icon e.g., when Gabriel gives Mary the news, she looks (in the icon) at us because she is the Mother of Mankind as well as of Jesus. My second workshop was led by Jeff Hankins a published poet & a practising Christian. Jeff encouraged us to write poetry inspired by Biblical texts - with no need to rhyme! This was an enjoyable and challenging workshop. For the third workshop I had decided to use the 'Personal Space' and quietly sit and begin reading whatever new book I would buy from the bookstall in the 'Market Place'. The Bishop of Monmouth led our Eucharist service on Saturday morning and The Revd Moira led the closing Celtic inspired service which in its quiet sincerity was an apt way to end. Helen
