Bishop Cherry has been bishop of Monmouth since January 2020 having served in the diocese of Manchester since her ordination to the diaconate in 1989. She was amongst the first women to be ordained priest in the Church of England in 1994 and has served as chaplain to Colleges of Further and Higher Education and the Deaf Community as well as ministries as parish priest and archdeacon. Her spirituality has been shaped by her deep love of music and of nature. She and her partner Wendy have two dogs; Macallan, a West Highland Terrier and Sadie, a Polish Lowland Sheepdog.
THEME OF THIS WORKSHOP
The Workshop 'Sighs too deep for words' takes this phrase from the letter to the Romans (8:26), we will explore what it means to pray in the silence of our hearts when we cannot find the words to express what is going on within us.
The maximum number of participants in each workshop is limited, so book early to avoid disappointment!
