Based in Cardiff, Luke Whitlock works for BBC Radio 3 as a Lead Producer for the networks Diversity projects, and regularly produces editions of Composer of the Week, The Choir, In Concert, Opera on 3, Lunchtime Concerts and the Sunday Feature, with occasional programmes for BBC Radio 4 and the World Service too. He is a freelance composer and presenter and has also previously worked in arts management for the Royal College of Music in London, and as a teacher for the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. His own music has been released on CD, with future commissions and projects in the pipeline.
How has faith inspired music? How has music intensified faith? These are some of the questions Luke Whitlock will be exploring in this seminar. With over sixteen years’ experience producing for BBC Radio 3, this is an opportunity to delve into some of the many classical composers Luke has researched, and devised programmes about, and to hear examples of their music. It is an opportunity to explore the past, and in so doing, maybe learn something of ourselves.
The maximum number of participants in each workshop is limited, so book early to avoid disappointment!
